Orlando von Einsiedel is an Academy Award-winning director and founder of Grain Media. His work includes the Academy Award-winning documentary THE WHITE HELMETS, which follows the lives of a group of heroic Syrian civilian rescue workers; Academy Award-nominated feature documentary VIRUNGA, charting the story of a group of courageous park rangers risking their lives to build a better future in the Democratic Republic of Congo; BIFA winning feature documentary EVELYN, a deeply personal story and road trip odyssey about the loss of his brother to suicide and his family’s route to recovery; and Academy Award-winning LEARNING TO SKATEBOARD IN A WARZONE (IF YOU’RE A GIRL), which he executive produced and which grew out of his earlier award-winning short film SKATEISTAN; TO LIVE AND SKATE KABUL. Stefania is a BAFTA and multi-award winning Kenyan director and self-shooting DP with 14+ years industry experience, specialising in long form obs-docs which focus on human justice issues and increasingly on conservation, an area of expertise that directly links to this project. Stefania has often worked in hostile environments and on expeditions, with exceptional shooting skills and a passion for authentic and intimate narratives. She has worked on intense investigative films, natural history strands, extreme expeditions and heartwarming human stories. As a director with a distinct and creative visual flair, she combines a strong journalistic head with an ability to bring out the most deeply emotional and/or engaging angle of a story. Her ability to tell strong and compelling narratives, beautifully sensitively and accessibly has been noted by her numerous awards
CHLOE LELAND, PRODCUER
Chloe is a BAFTA, EMMY and RTS-winning Executive Producer and Producer, with over 20 years’experience in the creation of internationally-renowned series, prime-time singles and premium theatrical documentaries. She has occupied high-level positions in the UK’s most successful production companies, from Creative Director of Nutopia to Head of Development at Impossible Pictures. Her many hits include ONE STRANGE ROCK (DISNEY), BABIES (NETFLIX), AMERICA - STORY OF US (A&E), BARBARIANS RISING (A&E), WALKING WITH MONSTERS (BBC/DISCOVERY) and HOW TO BUILD A PLANET (DISCOVERY/BBC). Chloe’s versatility now sees her working across diverse genres and platforms, both for Grain's scripted and non-scripted slate and as Creative Director of development hub, Grace Labs, where she leads the development of social purpose-led, climate and biodiversity projects such as the recent documentary, FROM DEVIL’S BREATH, directed by Orlando von Einsiedel, which she developed and produced in conjunction with Leonardo DiCaprio.
