MATT WECHSLER, DIRECTOR
MATT WECHSLER is an Emmy-nominated director whose work focuses on social and environmental food issues. Among his feature films, SUSTAINABLE (Netflix) explores the challenges of small farms, and RIGHT TO HARM exposes environmental injustice in rural communities. He also produced LAST MAN FISHING about the corporate takeover of America’s fisheries.
PAMELA RYAN, PRODUCER
Midwestern native PAMELA RYAN is a producer of documentaries, podcasts, and scripted films at Gigantic Pictures. Her doc projects include director Ramin Bahrani’s Oscar-shortlisted IF DREAMS WERE LIGHTNING, top-10 true crime series MAFIA TAPES for Discovery, CHARM CIRCLE, NIGHT SCHOOL, and Margaret Brown’s Emmy-nominated, SXSW Grand Jury prize-winning THE GREAT INVISIBLE, along with award-winning independent features. Pamela was selected as one of the inaugural group of Impact Partners’ Documentary Producing Fellows, and in 2024 for DOC NYC’s “40 Under 40” honor.
JOHN BLOCK, PRODUCER
JOHN BLOCK is an Emmy-award winning producer and Guggenheim Fellowship Award winner whose work has been seen on PBS, NBC, CNN, and HBO. His 2019 HBO documentary BRESLIN AND HAMILL: DEADLINE ARTISTS premiered at Doc NYC and won the 2020 Emmy Award for Outstanding Historical Documentary. John's 2014 film SOUNDING THE ALARM premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. In 2012, he co-directed the documentary DIFFERENT IS THE NEW NORMAL with filmmaker Matt Wechsler. The film was distributed by PBS and nominated for an Emmy award. Prior to independent filmmaking, John worked as a producer and writer for Dateline NBC and NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw.
JEFF SPIVACK, PRODUCER
JEFF SPIVACK is an NYC based creative producer as well as a post producer at Gigantic Pictures with projects that can be seen on Apple TV, Netflix, and PBS, and have premiered at various festivals around the world including San Sebastian, Telluride, Berlinale, Woodstock and the Palm Springs International Shortfest. Jeff produced the podcast, MAFIA TAPES, in association with ID, which premiered in the Top Ten true-crime podcasts on both Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Jeff also associate produced COLEWELL, named one of the 50 most anticipated American films of the year by Filmmaker Magazine, co-produced EL GRAN FELLOVE directed by Matt Dillon, and production supervised HBO’s REALITY. Jeff has extensive on-set experience working as a coordinator for films like PIERCING and BOARDING SCHOOL.
KEVIN LO, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
KEVIN is a technology executive and investor who’s spent most of the last decade working on human health and food system issues. Most recently, as the CEO of Food ID, he’s been focused on addressing Antimicrobial Resistance by reducing the 70% of our antibiotics that are used in U.S. livestock production and by improving the integrity of USDA labels. Previously, he was a senior executive at Meta where he led the company’s efforts to connect the unserved global population to the Internet, and at Google where he led its telecom businesses which worked to improve the quality of U.S. consumer broadband. Currently, Kevin is an Operating Partner at S2G Ventures where he’s focused on Food, Agriculture and Oceans. He also serves on the Board of Directors at a number of non-profit companies including the leading global education provider for children (and adults) with learning disabilities.
